Sanderson Farms Inc. Added to S&P SmallCap 600 Index

Sanderson Farms Inc. (NASD:SAFM) will replace International Multifoods Corp. (NYSE:IMC) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Thursday, June 17, 2004. International Multifoods is being acquired by S&P MidCap 400 constituent J.M. Smucker Co. (NYSE:SJM) in a deal expected to close on or about that date, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals. NYSE Expands Off-Hours Trading Services

The NYSE will today begin offering two new off-hours crossing sessions as part of a pilot program that will allow traders to fill the balance of customer orders that were placed during the NYSE’s regular 9:30 to 4 p.m. trading session. Crossing Sessions III and IV will operate from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and will accommodate “guaranteed price” and “VWAP” orders respectively.

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today will make permanent its reduction in spot month position limits to 3,000 contracts for the copper futures contract and will reduce the any–month/all–months position accountability levels to 5,000 from 10,000 contracts.
