Roger Turvey Takes Up New Business Role At GL SETTLE, GL TRADE’s Dedicated Back Office Unit

Roger Turvey recently joined GL SETTLE in a new business sales capacity. Turvey has been selling IT solutions for over 30 years, the last 17 being in capital markets. This period included supplying the largest-selling system into the big bang arena. He has experience of hardware, software and ASP selling in the UK and other European countries.

OMHEX And APX Close UKPX Deal

In December 2003, APX and OMHEX signed an agreement regarding the acquisition of the business activities of the UK Power Exchange (UKPX) from OMHEX's subsidiary OM London Exchange. Following the settlement of operational and regulatory matters with the London-based Financial Services Authority being kept fully informed and advised, the deal has now been closed.

June Volume At NYBOT Sets New Monthly Record

With two trading days remaining, total monthly volume at the New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) hit an all-time high, with 3,396,713 futures and options contracts changing hands during June (as of June 28th). The previous monthly record at NYBOT, the world’s leading “soft” commodity exchange, was 3,369,065 futures and options contracts set in March 2004.

J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (JPM)- S&P Global 100 Index

S&P will increase JPM’s shares outstanding after the close of trading this evening to account for the approximately 1,480.904 million shares issued to acquire Bank One Corp. JPM currently has 2082.431 million shares in the Index. In addition at the close of trading this evening, JPM’s GICS Sub-Industry categorization will become Other Diversified Financial Services.
