The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) will begin trading options on the new KBW Capital Markets Index on Thursday, December 2. The Index has been allocated to Knight Financial Partners, LLC.

OneChicago Reports 157% Increase For November 2004 Volume

OneChicago, LLC today announced that 189,422 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in November, which is 157% higher than November 2003 volume. Year-to-date volume is 1,770,498 contracts, 39% greater than 2003 volume through November. Open interest stood at 267,887 contracts as of November 30.

New Index On ICEX

Beginning next Monday the Iceland Stock Exchange will start to calculating and publishing a new index called ICEX-15 cap. The index will simulate the benchmark index ICEX-15 to an extent, and will for example contain the very same companies which form the ICEX-15 index at any given point in time. Deutsche Boerse: Total Turnover On German Stock Exchanges In November Rises 7 Percent To €268 Billion - Xetra Transactions Increase 8 Percent To 6.2 Million

Based on the aggregate statistics, a total volume of € 268.5 billion was traded on the German stock exchanges in November, up seven percent m-o-m (October 2004: € 251 billion). This total includes €216.7 billion in equities, warrants, and exchange traded funds, as well as €51.8 billion in fixed-income securities.
