    Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes effective after the close of business on Friday, June 30, 2006: The unitholders of Penn West Energy Trust (TSX:PWT.UN) and Petrofund Energy Trust (TSX:PTF.UN) have approved the proposed combination of the two enterprises.   • Standard & Poor’s Announces Amendments To The S&P/TSX Canadian Bond Index Rebalancing Report For June 2006

    Standard & Poor’s has completed the monthly rebalancing of the S&P/TSX Canadian Bond Index. According to index methodology, the universe of Canadian bonds is exhaustively reviewed to reflect changes in par amount and term to existing index constituents. Qualifying new issues are added to the index and existing constituents that no longer meet the criteria for inclusion are removed.

    Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox today announced the selection of Lori Schock as the Acting Director of the Commission's Office of Investor Education and Assistance (OIEA). Ms. Schock, who is the Deputy Director of OIEA, succeeds Susan Ferris Wyderko, who left the Commission earlier this month after 20 years of service.
