Euronext.liffe To Cut Fees By 40% For UK And US Stock Futures On Bclear

Euronext.liffe, the international derivatives business of Euronext, will cut the cost of registering UK and US Universal Stock Futures (“USFs”) through its Bclear service by up to 41% from 1 May 2007.

Irish Stock Exchange Appoints Deirdre Somers As Chief Executive Designate

The Chairman of the Irish Stock Exchange, David Kingston, has announced the appointment of Deirdre Somers as Chief Executive designate. The appointment was ratified by the Board of the Exchange at a meeting this morning [Wed], subject to regulatory approval Deirdre will succeed Tom Healy in the role on his retirement on the 30th of June next.

Timber Hill has contravened the Stockholm Stock Exchange’s rules by placing automatically routed sell and buy orders on several occasions that deviated from the current market value of the securities concerned. On a number of occasions, a broker at J P Morgan placed buy and sell orders on the company’s own account in a manner that resulted in several automatically matched transactions, whereby J P Morgan conducted business with itself. IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace and soft commodity exchange, announced a second consecutive daily electronic trading record at the New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) yesterday, with 149,389 futures contracts changing hands.
