Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") today announced amendments to the Listing Requirements and the MESDAQ Market Listing Requirements in relation to the provision of financial assistance and public shareholding spread. The amendments are aimed at enhancing the disclosure practices among listed companies and strengthening investor protection.

Thai Bourse To Launch New TV Program In January

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is about to launch a new, live TV program, “Keeping Up the Beat with 5 Markets”, broadcasting on UBC 97 (cable TV) and Channel 5 (free TV), from January 3, 2007, Monday to Friday, 09:30 – 10:00 hours. The program will be produced by Family Know-How Co., Ltd., a SET subsidiary.

Based on the preliminary year-end figures for 2006, which include an estimate for the last two trading days of the year, a total volume of about 5 trillion euros will be traded on the stock exchanges in Germany in 2006 - this represents an increase of 32 percent year-on-year (2005: 3.8 trillion euros). Eurex To Trade Around 1.527 Billion Contracts In 2006 - Preliminary Figures Indicate Increase In Trading Volume Of Over 20 Percent

The international derivatives exchange Eurex is reporting another record trading year in 2005. Based on the preliminary figures, which include an estimate for the last two exchange-trading days of the year, a total of 1.527 billion contracts will be traded and cleared in 2006, an increase of 22 percent on the 1.25 billion contracts traded in 2005. European Exchange For Structured Products To Launch On 1 January 2007

The SWX Group and Deutsche Börse AG will combine their trades in structured products as planned on 1 January 2007. The joint-venture partners announced this on Thursday. The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse and the federal cartel office (Bundeskartellamt) have already given their approval.
