Key Figures SWX Swiss Exchange And virt-x: Year 2006

For 2006, the SWX Swiss Exchange and virt-x both recorded new all-time highs in turnover and trading volume. Turnover rose by more than 36 % versus the previous year to reach almost the CHF 2 trillion mark. New Bermuda Stock Exchange Business Continues To Build Momentum From 2005 Recognitions

The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) reported that 2006 will be marked by the increase of interest in the Exchange created by two important recognitions which were received in 2005. In the second half of 2005 the BSX was granted both Approved Stock Exchange status by the Australian tax authority and designation from the UK’s Financial Services Authority.

LME “2 By 2” Growth Strategy Announced

Martin Abbott, LME Chief Executive yesterday announced the “2 by 2” growth strategy for the LME. The “2 by 2” strategy will see the LME developing two swathes of organic growth from non-ferrous into ferrous and from Futures into OTC trading. It is designed to double the volume of business at the LME within the next three to five years.
