Deutsche Börse: 58 Percent Rise In Turnover On Xetra In June - Total Volume Of €273 Billion Traded On All Stock Exchanges In Germany

In June €249.7 billion were turned over on Xetra and on the floor of Börse Frankfurt – a rise of 57 percent year-on-year (June 2006: €158 billion). Thereof €234,4 billion were traded on Xetra gaining 58 percent year-on-year (June 2006: €147.8 billion) and €15.3 billion on the floor. German equities accounted for €234,7 billion, foreign equities comprising €11 billion. More than 97 percent of the transaction volume with German equities was executed at Börse Frankfurt. Eurex Achieves Second Strongest Month With Turnover Of 196 Million Contracts - Trading Volume Up 28 Percent In June - Record Volumes In DAX Options, BUND Futures And Options, BOBL And SCHATZ

Trading volume at the international derivatives exchange Eurex rose around 28 percent in June year on year to 196.3 million contracts, the second strongest month so far (record: 199 million contracts; March 2007). The first six months of this year saw a volume of 970.6 million contracts, an increase of 18 percent over the same period last year.

MGEX Sets Another Monthly Trading Volume Record

A volatile day of trading ended a record-volume month for the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (“MGEX” or “Exchange”). Trading volume for Hard Red Spring Wheat futures in June was 172,238 contracts, which is the highest June volume in the history of the Exchange. It was also the seventh record-volume month during the last 12 months and the third monthly record set in 2007.
