Estonian Securities Market In The Second Quarter Of 2007

Active trading continued on the Tallinn Stock Exchange, facilitated by the listing of two new companies and the dividend payment period of companies. The number of stock exchange transactions increased three times in the second quarter of this year (33,342 transactions compared to 10,892 transactions in the same period of 2006) and the turnover of the stock exchange was MEUR 454 (MEUR 231 in the same period of 2006).

The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) has been developing the new Derivatives Trading System, aiming at activating the system in October, 2007. However, a part of the system development is delayed at the present stage.
