Statement By Bursa Malaysia On Discussions With Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME)

Bursa Malaysia is continuously exploring potential collaboration with strategic business partners to assist the growth of its different businesses. Such business partnerships may involve equity holding, depending on how the relationship develops in the future. In this respect, we wish to clarify that Bursa Malaysia and CME are in discussions on potential collaboration by the exchanges but the discussions are still at preliminary stage, and no terms have been agreed upon by both parties.

The merger between Surabaya Stock Exchange and Jakarta Stock Exchange to become Indonesia Stock Exchange is effective on December 2007.
