CalPERS Assets Gain 19.1 Percent For Fiscal Year - Retirement Benefits Fully Funded After Best Returns In Nearly A Decade

Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that Hartford Financial Services, Inc., one of the nation’s largest financial and insurance services companies, has agreed to pay $115 million to settle an investigation into illegal and fraudulent practices. Hartford also issued an apology and agreed to enact significant business reforms.

NYMEX To Introduce Steel Futures Contracts Based On World Steel Dynamics Steel Benchmarker Index

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., the world's largest physical commodity exchange and a subsidiary of NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:NMX), signed a licensing agreement with World Steel Dynamics, Inc. (WSD), a leading steel industry information service, and will introduce a steel futures contract based on WSD's SteelBenchmarkerTM benchmark pricing system on the NYMEX ClearPort® electronic clearing and trading platforms later this year.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, effective after the close of trading on Wednesday 25 July 2007: Accor SA (France, SEDOL: 5852842, GICS: Consumer Discretionary, GICS Code: 25301020), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will increase to 236,541,000 and the IWF (Investable Weight Factor) will remain 1, following a conversion of bonds.

Minneapolis Grain Exchange Membership Record Rises To $180,000

For the second Monday in a row, the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX or Exchange) announces a record membership sale with a membership trading today at the new record of $180,000. This follows three trades last week at the previous record of $170,000. Membership values at the MGEX have increased 247 percent since January.
