EEX: Successful Launch Of Spot Trading In Gas Within The Market Area Of E.ON Gastransport

Following E.ON Gastransport’s merger of the three H-gas market areas, which it has operated so far, into one federal H-gas market area, spot trading in natural gas in this market area was launched successfully on European En-ergy Exchange AG (EEX) on 1 October. Key Figures SWX Swiss Exchange, virt-x And Scoach Switzerland Ltd.: September And 3rd Quarter 2007

In September 2007 the SWX, virt-x and Scoach Switzerland Ltd had a total turnover of 181.5 billion francs, 20.9 % less than the month before. Turnover in the third quarter was 630.6 billion francs, 4.7 % less than the 661.8 billion francs of the previous quarter. In a quarterly comparison, only ETFs showed gains of 17.5 %. The turnover in equities and funds was 32.6 % higher than in September 2006; total turnover has risen by 28.1 %.

September Volume At CBOE Futures Exchange Continues To Grow - Average Daily Volume Increases 154%

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) announced today that trading volume during September 2007 totaled 84,680 contracts, an increase of 141% over September 2006's volume of 35,125 contracts. September's average daily volume of 4,457 contracts was up 154% from the year-ago average daily volume of 1,756 contracts.
