Key Figures SWX Swiss Exchange, virt-x And Scoach Switzerland Ltd.: Year 2007 (Prov. Data)

For 2007, the SWX Swiss Exchange, virt-x and Scoach Switzerland Ltd. recorded all-time highs in turnover and the total number of transactions. Annual turnover rose by 27.7% versus the previous year to reach an impressive CHF 2,527 billion. Particularly noteworthy was the explosion in trading activity in structured products and warrants, which grew by 56.7%. ETFs also registered a marked increase of 51.7%. For ETFs, the number of listed products rose from 61 (end of 2006) to 125 (end of 2007).

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announced that it has obtained clearance from The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) concerning Borse Dubai's investment in NASDAQ, which will allow it to proceed with its plans to combine with Stockholm-based OMX AB (publ) (OMX). NASDAQ and Borse Dubai Limited (Borse Dubai) had previously voluntarily submitted their agreement to CFIUS for review.

A record breaking 81 new companies made their debut on main WSE market in 2007, with another 24 debuting in the newly launched alternative market NewConnect.
