Shanghai Stock Exchange: CSRC Setting Short-Swing Trading Standards For Specific Investors To Settle Market Expectations

In order to comply with the requirements of the Securities Law, standardize regulatory practices, and stabilize market expectations, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has drafted the Provisions on Improving the Regulation of Short-swing Trading by Specific Shareholders (Draft for Comments) (hereinafter referred to as the Provisions) and is now soliciting public opinions. The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) will earnestly carry out the research and formulation of relevant supporting rules in accordance with the requirements of the CSRC.

• IF2307 CSI 300 index futures contracts and the IO2307 series CSI 300 index options contracts are delivered at the final settlement price of 3818.88;
• IC2307 CSI 500 index futures contracts are delivered at the final settlement price of 5920.49;
• IM2307 CSI 1000 index futures contracts and the MO2307 series CSI 1000 index options contracts are delivered at the final settlement price of 6398.00;
• IH2307 SSE 50 index futures contracts and the HO2307 series SSE 50 index options contracts are delivered at the final settlement price of 2507.63.

New Zealand Financial Markets Authority: Forestlands Sole Director, Rowan Kearns, Sentenced For Making False Statements And Financial Reporting Offences

Rowan Kearns, the founder and sole director of the Forestlands group of companies, was sentenced yesterday to four months’ community detention and 100 hours’ community work with a 9pm – 7am curfew. The sentence follows a prosecution brought by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) – Te Mana Tātai Hokohoko – filed in the Nelson District Court in September 2020. 

SEC Charges Digital World SPAC For Material Misrepresentations To Investors

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced settled fraud charges against Digital World Acquisition Corporation (DWAC), a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), for making material misrepresentations in forms filed with the SEC as part of DWAC’s initial public offering and proposed merger with Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (TMTG). The Commission finds that DWAC misled investors and the SEC by failing to disclose that it had formulated a plan to acquire and was pursuing the acquisition of TMTG prior to DWAC’s IPO.
