HKFE Announces Revised Margins For Three-Month HIBOR, China Telecom Futures, HSBC Holdings Futures And MTR Futures Contracts

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Friday, 25 January 2008, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining method

CME Group Board Of Directors Ratifies Equity Stake In Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse exchange, and the Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange S. A. (BM&F), the world's fourth largest futures exchange and the largest derivatives exchange in Latin America, announced today the execution of definitive agreements related to the previously announced cross investments between the two exchanges. CME Group will acquire an approximately 10 percent equity stake in BM&F, and BM&F will acquire approximately 1.19 million shares of CME Group

Eurex Repo, the electronic repo market of the international derivatives exchange Eurex, set several new records in 2007 following the internationalization of Euro GC Pooling with additional European collaterals in September 2007. On 7 December 2007, a new daily record was set with daily outstanding volume in Euro GC Pooling peaking at €31.7 billion, average outstanding volume in December 2007 rose by 156 percent to €22.8 billion. HKEx: Upgraded AMS/3 Set For Rollout On 28 January

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has completed its planned upgrade of the capacity and technology of AMS/3, the Third Generation Automatic Order Matching and Execution System, and will introduce the upgraded system for securities market use on 28 January (Monday) this year following successful completion of market rehearsals.

Record Volumes On The European Climate Exchange - 15 Million Tonnes EUAs Transacted In ECX CFI Futures And Options Contracts On 22 January

The European Climate Exchange (ECX) saw another record day of trading volumes yesterday - its second record day so far this year. Total volumes reached 14,934 contracts on 22 January 2008, representing nearly 15 million tonnes of underlying CO2 EU allowances. This compares to an average daily volume of just over 4,000 contracts in 2007.

SWX Swiss Exchange Fines Société Bancaire Privée S.A.

The SWX Swiss Exchange has established that Société Bancaire Privée S.A. has infringed the adhoc publicity regulations of Art. 72 of the Listing Rules and the Ad Hoc Publicity Directive on several occasions. Furthermore, the company failed to submit its annual report within the set deadline and thus infringed Art. 64 of the Listing Rules and the provisions of the Directive on Requirements for Financial Reporting.
