The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that Richard L. Goble, a member of the FINRA Board of Governors, has resigned, effective immediately. FINRA will conduct a special election to fill Mr. Goble's seat. Details of that election will be announced soon.

NYSE Euronext (NYX), the world’s leading and most diverse financial market group, today announced that it has completed through its affiliate Euronext NV , the acquisition of a 5% equity position in the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX ), India ’s largest commodity derivatives exchange. The 5% equity investment is the maximum equity interest permitted by a single foreign investor in exchanges under current Indian law.

June Highlights: ECX trading volumes reset the scales in June and substantially broke all previous records with 295 Mt, 223% higher than June 2007. The previous monthly record was April 2008 when 191 Mt traded. Average daily volumes in EUA and CER futures and options climbed to 14 Mt (14,039 lots). ECX recorded its highest ever daily trading volume on 6th June when over 34 Mt traded (62% CERs and 38% EUAs), largely as a result of a major CER options deal. Open inte
