Price limits for KCBT hard red winter wheat futures are at 60 cents for trade date July 9, 2008 (effective with the July 8 evening session), with the exception of the July 2008 contract, which is in the delivery period and does not have a limit.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) is requesting public comment on a petition submitted jointly by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) and the Board of Trade of the City of Chicago, Inc. (CBOT) in connection with certain over-the-counter (OTC) contracts to be listed for clearing-only on the CBOT and cleared through CME. CME is the derivatives clearing organization for the CBOT.

BM&FBOVESPA’s derivatives market (including futures and options) registered a volume of 35.4 million contracts traded in June 2008, a 6.6% increase in comparison to the same period last year (33.3 million). The average daily trading volume also rose, with 1.69 million contacts, 1.5% higher than the 1.6 million registered in June 2007.
