  • Statement From The London Metal Exchange Annual General Meeting

    All resolutions were passed at the annual general meeting of the London Metal Exchange today. These include a resolution to distribute profits as dividends to those shareholders on the register of members at the close of business on 22 January 2009 (“A” shareholders), this resolution was passed with significantly less than 10% voting against the dividend. The dividend, of 39p per ordinary share, will be paid on 27th April 2009.

    The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc.(Nasdaq:NDAQ) today commented on Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner's testimony before the House Financial Services Committee. NASDAQ OMX fully supports Secretary Geithner's proposed regulatory reforms that call for, among other things, to increase the use of central counterparty clearing (CCP) for OTC derivatives.

    The Frankfurt certificate exchange Scoach and ARIVA.DE AG have collaborated to establish an extensive master data database for certificates, warrants and reverse convertibles. Both Scoach and ARIVA.DE will be providing third-party access to this data as of April 2009.
