Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange And Montreal Exchange Closed For Civic Holiday

Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange and Montreal Exchange will be closed on Monday, August 2, 2010 for the Civic Holiday. The exchanges will re-open and resume regular trading on Tuesday, August 3, 2010.

SEC Charges General Electric And Two Subsidiaries With FCPA Violations

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged General Electric Company with violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) for its involvement in a $3.6 million kickback scheme with Iraqi government agencies to win contracts to supply medical equipment and water purification equipment.
