ACER Welcomes The REMIT Implementing Acts’ Entry Into Force And Announces The Launch Of Its New REMIT Portal On 8 January 2015, Midday

The Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) welcomes today’s entry into force of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1348/2014, the European Commission’s Implementing Acts on data collection under REMIT (the EU Regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency). The entry into force of the Implementing Acts follows twenty days after their publication in the Official Journal of the European Union on 18 December 2014 (see ACER PR-12-14).

2014 - A Record Year In Debt Securities Listings On SGX

• An increasing proportion of companies that tapped into the SGD bond market for funding are now choosing to list their bonds on SGX. There were a total of 149 bond issuances in 2014 and 73% of the total were listed on SGX with, 24% are not listed. In comparison, out of 140 bond issuances in 2013, 58% were listed while 39% where not listed.
• Bond Listings by companies in Japan markedly increased compared to 2013.
• Effective 2 January 2015, listing applications for wholesale debt securities can be processed in 1 business day.

• The value of the Electronic Order Book in equities on the Main Market was PLN 15.6 billion in December 2014, a decrease of 5.9% year on year.
• The value of the Electronic Order Book on NewConnect was PLN 1.2 billion, an increase of 29.8% year on year.
• The total value of trading on Catalyst was PLN 330.3 million in December 2014, an increase of 18,0% year on year.
• The total value of trading on TBSP increased by 5.2% year on year to PLN 45.4 billion in December 2014.
• The value of trading in structured products was PLN 44 million in December 2014, an increase of 84.9% year on year.
• The total volume of trading in electricity was 186.7 TWh in January-December 2014, an increase of 5.8% year on year.
• The volume of trading in property rights to certificates of origin increased by 113.8% year on year to 6.4 TWh in December 2014.
• The total volume of trading in gas was 8.5 TWh in December 2014, compared to 0.9 TWh in December 2013.
