UK's Financial Conduct Authority: Unauthorised Forex Investment Fraudster Convicted

Today, before Her Honour Judge Taylor at Southwark Crown Court, Alex Hope was found guilty by a jury of one count of fraud, having previously admitted a charge of operating a collective investment scheme without authorisation on 23 April 2014.  The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) prosecuted Hope, who ran a scam which claimed to be making large returns for investors from the profits of his forex trading. 

Polish Power Exchange Extends And Upgrades Technology Agreement With Nasdaq

Polish Power Exchange and Nasdaq (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announced the Polish Power Exchange (POLPX) will tap Nasdaq's X-stream Trading technology platform. POLPX has been a Nasdaq customer since 2005, and the new agreement will extend this relationship beyond 2020.

Tokyo Commodity Exchange: Raw Sugar Futures To Be Removed From The Nikkei-TOCOM Index

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (TOCOM) and Nikkei Inc. (Nikkei) announced today the removal of Raw Sugar Futures as a component of the jointly published Nikkei-TOCOM Commodity Index. This change will be effective as of February 2, 2015. TOCOM also announced today the suspension of trading of the Raw Sugar futures at the end of January.

TOCOM To Suspend Trading Of Raw Sugar Futures

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. announced today the decision of the Board of Directors to cease generating new contract months for Raw Sugar futures. This will take effect as of the end of the day session on January 30, 2015 when the current March 2015 contract month expires.
