ACER published today its updated Gas Target Model, presenting its vision for a competitive and secure European gas market that benefits all consumers. The Gas Target Model follows up on the ‘Bridge to 2025’ Conclusions Paper presented by ACER and CEER in September 2014.

ESMA Publishes Review Of CCP Colleges

The European Securities and Markets Authorities (ESMA) has published a peer review report on its participation in the supervisory colleges set up under the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) to authorise and supervise EU-based central counterparties (CCPs). EMIR asks ESMA to coordinate between national competent authorities and across colleges with a view to building a common supervisory culture and consistent supervisory practices, ensuring uniform procedures and consistent approaches, and strengthening consistency in supervisory outcomes.

Total Trading Volume At TAIFEX At 200M Contracts In 2014, Setting New Historic Record

The trading volume at Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) ended 2014 with a total of 202,411,093 contracts (last high recorded in 2011: 182,995,171 contracts), an all-time high since the open of business and its first time to exceed a 200 million benchmark.
