Montréal Exchange Approved As A Foreign Board Of Trade By The CFTC

Montréal Exchange Inc. (MX), Canada's national derivatives exchange, announced that the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved its application to register as a Foreign Board of Trade (FBOT). Under the Order, MX is permitted to provide its identified members and other participants located in the U.S. with direct access to MX's electronic order entry and trade matching system.

CFTC: Federal Court In North Carolina Enters Judgment Against Ron Earl McCullough And David Christopher Mayhew In Foreign Currency Ponzi Scheme

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced that Senior Judge James C. Fox of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina entered a default judgment Order against Defendants Ron Earl McCullough and David Christopher Mayhew, both from Raleigh, North Carolina. The Order requires McCullough and Mayhew jointly to pay $1,223,388.43 in restitution and a $2,486,619.87 civil monetary penalty. The Order also enters a permanent injunction that imposes permanent trading and registration bans against the Defendants and prohibits them from violating the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and CFTC regulations, as charged.

Nigerian Stock Exchange Stock Market Report For August 28th, 2015

A turnover of 2.051 billion shares worth N17.869 billion in 21,762 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of The Exchange in contrast to a total of 4.304 billion shares valued at N20.048 billion that exchanged hands last week in 20,219 deals.

Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Achieves ISO 27001:2013 Certification

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) is pleased to announce that it has achieved the ISO27001:2013 Certification, the most stringent global standard for Information Security. The award which was received from the British Standard Institute (BSI), working with Digital Encode in Nigeria, is subsequent to a series of rigorous and extensive audit of the Exchange’s information management systems and processes. ISO 27001:2013 gives both the NSE and its stakeholders the confidence to trust the Exchange with the safe-keeping and processing of their information as well as ensure that appropriate controls are in place to prevent (wherever possible) and manage risks in the unlikely event of a breach.
