The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Computer Sciences Corporation and former executives with manipulating financial results and concealing significant problems about the company’s largest and most high-profile contract.  The SEC additionally charged former finance executives involved with CSC’s international businesses for ignoring basic accounting standards to increase reported profits.

1st Small-sized Publicly Offered Corporate Bond Listed On Shanghai Stock Exchange

On June 4, the bond publicly offered by Zhoushan Port Group (ZPG) to qualified investors was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE). It is the first listed publicly offered corporate bond after the release of the “Management Measures for Issuance and Trading of Corporate Bonds” by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), and also the first listed publicly offered corporate bond of an unlisted company.

ESMA Issues Q1 Risk Dashboard For Securities Markets

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) issued today its second Risk Dashboard 2015 for the EU's securities markets, covering the first quarter of 2015 (1Q15).  In 1Q15, EU systemic stress remained at previous levels. Contagion, liquidity, and credit risk remained high but stable while market risk increased after having partially materialised already in the previous quarter.
