Amman Stock Exchange, Muscat Securities Market, Beirut Stock Exchange And Bourse De Tunis: UTP-Hybrid Project - UTP-H User Group Meeting With Euronext In Paris

The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) represented by Mr. Marwan Al-Bataineh, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Nader Azar, the CEO, Eng. Adel Abu Assaf, the Head of Information and Communication Technology Department and Mr. Mohammad Shneawer, the Chief of Market Operations Division participated in the third meeting of the UTP-H User Group, held on Euronext premises in Paris/ France during 12 -13 May, 2015. The meeting was attended by the ASE, Muscat Securities Market, Beirut Stock Exchange and Bourse De Tunis.

Austrian Equity Market: Historically Low Valuations Offer Excellent Entry Opportunities

Since the beginning of the year, the Austrian equity market has registered an increase of almost 20% and thus recorded slightly better performance than the DAX or the Eurostoxx 50. Despite this, the valuation of the ATX is still low from a historical perspective. For example, the book value is just over 1, whereas the DAX shows a figure of 1.8.

European Parliament: Debate And Vote On TTIP Postponed

After the vote on the TTIP resolution had been postponed yesterday on the basis of article 175 of the rules of procedure, today the Parliament decided by 183 votes in favour, 181 against, and 37 abstentions to postpone the debate as well on the basis of article 152.

ESAs Consult On Margin Requirements For Non-Centrally Cleared Derivatives

The European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) launched today a second consultation on draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) outlining the framework of the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). This second consultation document is the result of an intense engagement with other authorities and the industry stakeholders in order to identify all the operation issues that may arise from the implementation of such framework. Therefore, the consultation focuses only on a narrow set of topics as most of the decisions have already been agreed following the first consultation held in April 2014. The consultation runs until 10 July 2015.

The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), supporting the global rollout of the legal entity identifier (LEI), today announced the appointment of Karla McKenna as its new Head of Standards with immediate effect. Ms. McKenna, an internationally renowned specialist in the area of financial services standards, is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of GLEIF standards and leveraging international standards from organizations such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to maximize data quality and the operational integrity of the Global LEI System (GLEIS). As a result, services provided by GLEIF will empower market participants to fully realize the benefits of adopting the LEI.

Euronext Amsterdam Sees Strong Bond Listing Activity - Total Of € 5.59 Billion Raised Through Bond Issuances In Less Than 2 Weeks

Euronext is experiencing strong bond listing activity on its Amsterdam market. In a series of new, large bond listings by a variety of issuers € 5.59 billion was raised in two weeks, compared to €3.2 billion raised during the same period last year.
