Record Year For New Listings At Nasdaq’s Nordic Exchanges

Nasdaq (Nasdaq: NDAQ) welcomed 97 new listings to its Nordic markets* in 2015, raising above 54 billion SEK in total. This represents a 31 percent increase from the 74 new listings that occurred in 2014, and makes 2015 the strongest year ever in terms of new listings for Nasdaq Nordic.

The Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) today launched eight new derivative contracts – a New Taiwan Dollar (TWD)-denominated TOPIX futures contract, the first-ever foreign equity index futures contract to be introduced in Taiwan, and seven ETF options, the first-ever such options contracts to debut in Taiwan.

UAE's Securities And Commodities Authority Declares Thursday, December 24, Holiday for Financial Markets To Mark Birth Of Prophet Mohammed

Pursuant to the Circular issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) on Mawlid al Nabi Holiday, the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) declares Thursday, December 24, a public holiday for financial markets, after having conferred with them. Trading shall resume on Sunday, December 27. The Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX), however, shall decide when to close and open, according to public interest requirements.
