HKFE Announces Revised Margins For Futures Contracts
Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Wednesday, 1 April 2015, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company’s normal procedures and standard margining methodology.

It is a pleasure to be here. My subject is the important role the nonbank financial sector plays in the United States financial system. As you know, the euro area financial system differs from the U.S. system in terms of the relative size and the role played by banks as compared with nonbank financial institutions. According to a recent report by the International Monetary Fund, banks in the euro area accounted for roughly 75 percent of total lending by banks and nonbanks that are part of the shadow banking system, whereas in the United States, banks accounted for just under half this measure of total lending in 2013.[1]The relatively large role played by nonbank financial institutions in the United States brings with it both economic benefits and risks to financial stability--risks that could be seen clearly during the Global Financial Crisis.

Bucharest Stock Exchange Becomes Partner Exchange To The United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative
On March 27, 2015 Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) became a partner exchange to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative. SSE initiative was launched by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in 2009. It is a peer-to-peer learning platform for exploring how exchanges, in collaboration with investors, regulators, and companies, can enhance corporate transparency – and ultimately performance – on environmental, social and corporate governance issues and encourage sustainable investment. The initiative is co-convened by the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) and the UN Global Compact.

United Kingdom Parliament Treasury Committee: Financial Conduct Authority Pre-Briefing Incident In March 2014
In December 2014, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published a report by Simon Davis into its mishandling of a pre-briefing of its Life Insurance Review in March 2014. The Treasury Committee has today called for the FCA to do more to satisfy Parliament and the public that it has learned the lessons of this incident.

Gibson Jr. of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Office of the Inspector General, Special Inspector General Christy Romero of the Troubled Asset Relief Program, Inspector General Mark Bialek of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Office of the Inspector General and Special Agent in Charge David J. Johnson of the FBI’s San Francisco Division.
