PEGAS: Danish Gaspoint Nordic To Join PEGAS Platform

The Danish exchange Gaspoint Nordic is to join the PEGAS platform in the course of 2016, thus integrating the Danish and Continental European gas markets. By expanding to Scandinavia, the PEGAS platform takes another step in establishing a one-stop-shop for natural gas trading in Europe.

China will detail rules to allow foreign hedge fund managers to launch products in the country. According to the CSRC, foreign asset managers launching products in China must set up operations locally, raise capital locally, and invest in the domestic capital markets, without conducting cross-border transactions. The rules will apply to secondary market as well as to private equity products.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida entered a final Judgment on June 28, 2016, requiring DefendantsDorian Garcia and his companies, DG Wealth Management (DG Wealth), Macroquantum Capital LLC,UKUSA Currency Fund, and DG Wealth’s successor, Quanttra LP, all of Naples, Florida, jointly to pay restitution totaling $5,051,052 to defrauded investors victimized in a Ponzi scheme they operated from 2010 to 2015. The Judgment also requires the Defendants jointly to pay a $7.5 million civil monetary penalty and to disgorge $4,948,571 in ill-gotten gains.

DTCC And Coleg Cambria Collaborate On New Summer Academy Programme; Offer 10 Apprentice Roles

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, today announced the launch of a new initiative with partner Coleg Cambria, one of the U.K.'s largest colleges, to support the recruitment of apprentices in the North East Wales area. The joint ‘Summer Academy Programme’ will run for a four-week period commencing July 19 through August 11, at which point ten successful candidates will join the 2016 ‘DTCC Europe Academy–Apprenticeship Programme’ starting in September.
