Thank you for the kind introduction and good morning everyone. It is a pleasure to be here at the Commodity Markets Council’s “Global State of the Industry” Meeting. The CMC is an important voice for end-users in our energy and agricultural markets, and I welcome any opportunity to engage with these market participants that play such a vital role in our infrastructure and economy. Federal Reserve Board Announces Finalized Stress Testing Rules Removing Noncomplex Firms From Qualitative Aspect Of CCAR Effective For 2017

The Federal Reserve Board on Monday finalized a rule adjusting its capital plan and stress testing rules, effective for the 2017 cycle. The final rule removes large and noncomplex firms from the qualitative assessment of the Federal Reserve's Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), reducing significant burden on these firms and focusing the qualitative review in CCAR on the largest, most complex financial institutions.

MIAX PEARL Business Continuity And Disaster Recovery Plans Testing - Member Designation Standards

As required by Regulation Systems Compliance and Integrity and MIAX PEARL Rule 321, certain Members of MIAX PEARL will have mandatory participation requirements in the annual SIFMA Business Continuity Planning Disaster Recovery (“BC/DR”) test.  MIAX PEARL will be leveraging the annual industry-wide BC/DR test to fulfill this requirement.

The European Banking Authority (EBA) recalled today the key deadlines Competent Authorities should comply with for the submission of data needed to perform the 2017 supervisory benchmarking exercise. Despite the pending approval by the European Commission of the amended Implementing Technical Standard (ITS) on benchmarking, compliance with the proposed deadlines will ensure a smooth and timely start of the 2017 exercise.
