MNI Russia Consumer Sentiment Indicator: Russian Consumer Sentiment Dips Slightly In December - Households Shun Car Purchases As Finances Deteriorate Further
The MNI Russia Consumer Sentiment Indicator slipped to 70.1 in December from 70.8 in November, as panellists turned increasingly pessimistic about their financial situation. Sentiment is currently running just beneath the 2015 average but is 15% below the series average.

The total value of shares traded for the week ending 07 January 2016 amounted to SAR 24.12 billion, decreasing by 9.46% over the previous week; while total stock market capitalization reached SAR 1,422.32 billion at the end of this period, decreasing by 9.93% over the previous week.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) hereby notifies the following issues, in a bid to carry out the “Regulations on Shareholding Lessening of List Company’s Major Shareholders, Directors, Supervisors and Senior Managers” (the Regulations for short), standardize the shareholding lessening by listed company’s controlling shareholder and shareholders who hold over 5% shares in the company (collectively called as the major shareholders) as well as directors, supervisors and senior managers, and specify the regulatory requirements.

CFTC’s Division Of Clearing And Risk Provides No-Action Relief To Small Bank Holding Companies And Community Development Financial Institutions
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Division of Clearing and Risk today issued no-action relief from the swap clearing requirement to (1) small bank holding companies and savings and loan holding companies having consolidated assets of $10 billion or less and (2) Community Development Financial Institutions that have received a certification from the U.S. Department of the Treasury (CDFIs).

Steven A. Cohen Barred From Supervisory Hedge Fund Role - SEC Examinations And Independent Consultant Reviews Also Part Of Settlement
The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that hedge fund manager Steven A. Cohen will be prohibited from supervising funds that manage outside money until 2018 in order to settle charges for failing to supervise a former portfolio manager who engaged in insider trading while employed at his firm. In addition, Cohen’s family office firms will be subject to SEC examinations and the firms must retain an independent consultant to conduct periodic reviews of their activities to ensure compliance with securities laws.
