  • Vienna Stock Exchange Launches Next-Generation T7 Trading Technology

    The Vienna Stock Exchange is opening up a new dimension in electronic trading in Austrian and international stocks today. After having run the exchange for 17 years on the Xetra system, the Vienna Stock Exchange is now going live with the T7 trading system, the most cutting-edge global trading technology. The system is provided by VSE's technology partner, Deutsche Börse, which has been operating it on the German market since the beginning of July.

  • Intercontinental Exchange To Launch New London Silver Daily Futures Contract - Facilitates Central Clearing For The LBMA Silver Price Auction

    Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges and clearing houses and provider of data and listings services, announced that ICE Futures U.S. plans to launch a new London Silver Daily Futures contract on September 5, 2017, pending regulatory review. The contract offers physical delivery of unallocated silver held in a London Precious Metals Clearing Limited vault.

  • The Saudi Arabia Capital Market Authority (CMA) Licenses Moody's Investors Service Middle East Limited

    As part of CMA's responsibility to supervise, regulate, and develop credit rating activities in the Kingdom, further to its announcement dated 21/9/1436H corresponding to 8/7/2015G, regarding the CMA starting receiving applications to conduct credit rating activity and based on the related provisions set out in the Credit Rating Agencies Regulation, the CMA Board of Commissioners has  issued its resolution authorizing " Moody's Investors Service Middle East Limited " to conduct credit rating activities in the Kingdom. 

  • Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Identifies Irregularities In Private Funds And Discretionary Accounts

    The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today issued a circular expressing its concerns about the management of some private funds (Note 1) and discretionary accounts. During the SFC’s supervision of licensed corporations engaged in the asset management business, a number of private funds and discretionary accounts with concentrated, illiquid and interconnected investments were found to have irregular features.
