FSB Publishes Thematic Peer Review On Corporate Governance

The Financial Stability Board (FSB) today published a peer review on corporate governance. The peer review takes stock of how FSB member jurisdictions have implemented the G20/Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Principles of Corporate Governance for publicly listed, regulated financial institutions. In so doing, it identifies effective practices and areas where good progress has been made while noting gaps and areas of possible weakness.

SONIA Recommended As The Sterling Near Risk-Free Interest Rate Benchmark

The Working Group on Sterling Risk-Free Reference Rates – a group of major dealers active in sterling interest rate swap markets – has today announced SONIA as its preferred near risk-free interest rate benchmark (RFR) for use in sterling derivatives and relevant financial contracts.

This expression of market support for SONIA will act as a platform for further work to broaden and promote its use as an alternative to sterling Libor, contributing to an improvement in the resilience of the financial system.
Catella Launches The First Swedish Real Estate Fund Listed On Nasdaq Stockholm

Catella’s Property Investment Management unit is launching Property Income 2017, an alternative investment fund that will invest in investment properties with stable cash flows and high dividend capacity. The fund’s AIF manager is Plain Capital Asset Management Sverige AB, and the fund’s depositary is SEB. The listing on Nasdaq Stockholm is scheduled for the end of May.
