FIA Tech Launches Secure Lockbox For Indirect Clearing Data

FIA Tech is pleased to announce the expansion of its Owner & Controller Repository (OCR) service to securely and confidentially store data for firms offering indirect clearing services under MIFID II. The new Indirect Clearing Lockbox capability allows indirect clearers to store their client account data securely to be accessed by their clearing member only in a default scenario, ensuring clients have the full protection of new segregated clearing models provided for under MIFID II.

UK PM Meeting With Financial Services Firms - The Prime Minister Chaired A Roundtable With Senior Executives From Some Of The World’s Leading Financial Institutions

This afternoon the Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the senior executives from some of the world’s leading financial institutions to discuss the opportunities and challenges for the financial sector posed by Brexit.
The Prime Minister gave an overview of the UK’s position and updated on Brexit negotiations – including the UK’s aim to agree an implementation period by the end of March."

I am delighted to welcome all of you to the inaugural meeting of the Fixed Income Market Structure Advisory Committee, or “FIMSAC” as many of us like to call it. This is a significant day for the Commission. There are a few matters of importance to discuss, and I will try to be efficient, as I know we are all eager to kick off today’s discussion on bond market liquidity.

The Saudi Arabian Capital Market Authority Board Issues Its Resolution To Adopt The Updated Instructions On Book Building And Allocation Of Shares In IPOs

In continuance to the CMA role to regulate and develop the capital market, and aiming to facilitate financing by providing financing sources, and encouraging investments by increasing the market attractiveness for investors and ease the investing ways, and in pursuance to the Authority's program "to Achieve Saudi Vision 2030", and based on the Capital Market Law issued by the Royal Decree Number (M/30) Dated 02/06/1424H, the CMA Board has issued its resolution to adopt the updated Instructions of Book Building and Allocation in Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), and that it shall be affective from the its publication date.

Federal Reserve Board Adds Interactive Data Tools For The Financial Accounts Of The United States To Its Website

The Federal Reserve Board on Thursday added three new tools to its web site to provide interactive access to data from the Board's Financial Accounts of the United States (Z.1) release, which tracks the aggregate wealth of U.S. households and other economic sectors.

SEC And NYU To Host Jan. 19 Forum On Relationship Between Companies And Shareholders

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Economic and Risk Analysis is partnering with New York University’s Salomon Center for the Study of Financial Institutions to bring together regulators, practitioners, and academics for a half-day symposium January 19 at NYU. Panelists will discuss the evolution of shareholder engagement over time and its impact on corporate governance, focusing in particular on the shifting roles and influence of institutional and activist investors.
