  • B3 Discloses Results Of The "Report Or Explain For The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)"

    The results of the "Report or Explain for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" present the efforts of companies listed on B3 to publish sustainability or integrated reports taking the SDGs into account. The SDGs are a set of 17 global goals approved by the United Nations in 2015. Among the companies consulted by B3, 147 responded the survey, the equivalent to 33% of the total companies listed on the Exchange. Of these 147 companies, 40% disclose their reports considering the SDGs, are preparing the reports, intend to, or are considering the possibility of including the SDGs in their reports.

  • EBA Consults On Amendments To Technical Standards On Supervisory Disclosure

    The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a consultation to amend the Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) on supervisory disclosure, which specify the format, structure, contents list and annual publication date of the supervisory information to be disclosed by competent authorities. The revised draft ITS will incorporate the changes to the EU legal framework and the establishment of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM). The consultation runs until 22 December 2017.

    The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in partnership with Thomson Reuters and other capital market participants, is set to host the second edition of the NSE Market Data Workshop. The event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 4th October, 2017 at The Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

  • ESAs Provide Guidance To Prevent Terrorist Financing And Money Laundering In Electronic Fund Transfers

    The Joint Committee of the three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA - ESAs) published today guidelines to prevent the abuse of funds transfers for terrorist financing and money laundering purposes. These guidelines are part of the ESAs' wider work on fostering a consistent approach to Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) and promote a common understanding of payment service providers' obligations in this area.

  • Nigerian Stock Exchange Weekly Stock Market Report For September 22nd 2017

    A total turnover of 1.096 billion shares worth N17.859 billion in 16,070 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 896.618 million shares valued at N15.368 billion that exchanged hands last week in 17,048 deals.
