Monitoring Group Publishes Summary Of Feedback

The Monitoring Group has today published its Summary of Feedback of responses received to its earlierconsultation Strengthening the Governance and Oversight of the International Audit-Related Standard-Setting Boards in the Public Interest. Responses to the Monitoring Group’s consultation on options for reform of audit-related standard setting, show widespread support among stakeholders for reform in order to increase accountability and transparency in standard setting; to move to a multi stakeholder representation in the standard setting boards; and to a sustainable, more independent funding model. Responses contained more diverse views on the optimum number of standard setting boards, their composition, and whether reform of the Public Interest Oversight Board should be carried out at the same time as reform of the boards.

Osaka Exchange: Removal Of India Nifty50 Futures

Osaka Exchange, Inc. (OSE) has decided to remove India Nifty50 futures on July 17, 2018. This is because OSE received a notice from India Index Services & Products Limited (IISL), a licensor of Nifty50, that they would terminate a license agreement between IISL and OSE. Please note that OSE will suspend all trades after June. 28, 2018 (the last trading day of the June 2018 contract).

Aquis Exchange To List On LSE's Junior Market AIM

Application has been made for the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Aquis Exchange to be admitted to trading on AIM, a market operated by London Stock Exchange. It is expected that Admission will become effective, and that dealings in the Ordinary Shares will commence on 14 June 2018.

ACER: Council Of The European Union Agrees Position To Update The Role Of The EU Agency For The Cooperation Of Energy Regulators

The Council today agreed its position (general approach) on a regulation to update the role of ACER, the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators. The agreement provides the Presidency with a mandate to start negotiations with the European Parliament.

UK's Financial Conduct Authority Secures Increased Confiscation Order Against Benjamin Wilson

Today, His Honour Judge Grieve QC sitting at the Central Criminal Court increased the value of a confiscation order made against Benjamin Wilson, a convicted fraudster, from 1 to 31,905.33. The increased order must be paid within 28 days or Mr Wilson will face a further 14 months in prison.
