US Federal Agencies Seek Comment On Proposed 2019 Resolution Plan Guidance

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Reserve Board on Friday announced they are seeking public comment on revised resolution plan guidance for the eight largest, most complex U.S. banks. Resolution plans, commonly known as living wills, must describe the company's strategy for rapid and orderly resolution under bankruptcy in the event of material financial distress or failure of the company. The resolution planning process helps ensure that a firm's failure would not have serious adverse effects on the financial stability of the United States.
CFTC Staff Issues Research Report On Sharp Price Movements In The Commodity Futures Markets

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Division of Market Oversight (DMO) issued a report today that analyzed sharp, intraday price movements in the commodity futures markets. DMO staff in the Market Intelligence Branch (MIB) analyzed 2.2 billion transactions from 16 of the most actively traded futures contracts in all major market sectors using data from 2012 through 2017.

tZERO, the global leader in blockchain innovation for capital markets, today announced the signing of a letter of intent (LOI) with GSR Capital (GSR), a private equity firm organized under the laws of Hong Kong, to participate in tZERO’s Security Token Offering (STO). In accordance with the LOI, GSR will purchase U.S. $160 million in tZERO Security Tokens pursuant to the Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE). The purchase price per Security Token will be $10.00. To accommodate the investment from GSR, tZERO’s STO has been extended to August 6, 2018.
Revision Of "Japan Financial Services Agency's Supervisory Approaches - Replacing Checklists With Engagement-"

The Financial Services Agency (JFSA) issued the English translation of its draft report "JFSA's supervisory approaches" and called for public comments in English from January 5 through February 14, 2018 (as for the Japanese version, from December 15, 2017 through February 14, 2018). The JFSA recieved 282 comments both in Japanese and in English from 52 individuals and entities. Based on the comments received, the JFSA revised and published the report on June 29,2018.
