    The Eastern Magistrates’ Court today adjourned the criminal proceedings brought by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) against Mr Chan Wai Chuen, former director of DBA Telecommunication (Asia) Holdings Limited (DBA), to 27 September 2018 for a pre-trial review after he pleaded not guilty to a charge of making a false or misleading statement in relation to the results announcement issued by DBA on 28 March 2013.

  • FSB, CPMI, IOSCO And BCBS Study Highlights Continued Central Clearing Interdependencies

    The Financial Stability Board (FSB), the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI), the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) today published the second report that maps interdependencies between central counterparties (CCPs) and their clearing members and other financial service providers. The international standard-setters published the first report on central clearing interdependencies in July 2017.

    The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has banned Ms Cham Nga Yin from re-entering the industry for life for misappropriation of clients’ money.  Cham was a former licensed representative of Tanrich Futures Limited (Tanrich Futures), now known as Southwest Securities (HK) Futures Limited (Note 1).

    The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index at the end of July gained 6.7 percent from the previous month to 1,701.79 points, in line with the regional peers, becoming ASEAN’s best performing bourse of the month. The average daily trading value of SET and Market for Alternative Investment (mai) in July was THB 52.05 billion (USD 1.58 billion), a 25.5 percent year-on-year increase.
