First TSR20 Rubber Delivery Executed At TOCOM

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) announced the first delivery of TSR20 Rubber since its listing on October 9th, 2018. Forty of the February 2019 contracts were delivered totalling 200 tonnes.

Intercontinental Exchange Announces Record Trading Volume For ICE Permian WTI Crude Oil Futures

Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges and clearing houses and provider of data and listings services, today announced a daily trading volume record for ICE Permian WTI Crude Oil Futures (HOU) of 1,953 contracts yesterday. That compares to a previous record of 1,304 lots reached on January 7, 2019.

S&P Dow Jones Indices: Europe Dashboard

- European equities rallied all month long; the S&P Europe 350® rose in five weeks out of five to finish January with a gain of 6%, the best monthly total return for the benchmark since October 2015. Every country contributed positively in January, as equities picked up gains at month end thanks to a dovish surprise from the U.S. Federal Reserve.
- It wasn’t all good news, however; the IMF blamed softening demand in Europe for a worsening global outlook, while data showed Germany at risk of falling into a recession and Italy officially entering one.
- U.K. stocks gained 4% this month. Politicians on both sides of the U.K. Parliament struggled to agree on what they wanted from Brexit negotiations, only to align on a compromise that the E.U. says they can't have.

Financial Services Superintendent Maria T. Vullo today reminded DFS-regulated entities and licensed persons covered by the Department of Financial Services (DFS)’s landmark cybersecurity regulation that the final implementation period for the regulation ends March 1, 2019. New York’s first-in-the-nation cybersecurity regulation became effective March 1, 2017. DFS implemented a two-year timeline for implementation of the regulation’s requirements, with a final compliance deadline of March 1, 2019. The final step in the implementation timeline requires regulated entities that use third-party providers to put in place policies and procedures ensuring the security of information systems and nonpublic information accessible to, or held by, such providers. Superintendent Vullo today also reminded all regulated entities that the second certification of compliance covering the prior calendar year must be filed electronically via the DFS cybersecurity portal on or before February 15, 2019.

The project is an initiative of the Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN), which consists of 29 organizations, including the OSC, committed to supporting financial innovation.
