DTCC, the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, today announced it is working with Cboe Clear Europe to deliver an enhanced post-trade workflow for over-the-counter (OTC) cash equities trades to help increase settlement efficiencies across UK and European markets.

During last week’s meeting of the IFRS Foundation Monitoring Board in Singapore, the Monitoring Board discussed the activities of the Trustees of the IFRS Foundation, including their oversight responsibilities in respect of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). The meeting was joined by the members of the Trustees of the IFRS Foundation under the leadership of Erkki Liikanen, Chair of the Trustees, as well as Andreas Barckow, Chair of the IASB, and Emmanuel Faber, Chair of the ISSB.

As the European Commission today gathers stakeholders in Brussels to discuss the further tokenisation of assets, the WFE (the global industry association for exchanges and clearing houses) has published a paper, “Demystifying Tokenisation: Embracing the Future”, that provides a reality check: we shouldn’t curtail the further development of tokenisation, nor should we run blindly towards it.

Gerald Mayer was elected as a new member of the Supervisory Board of Wiener Börse AG at today's Annual General Meeting. The economics graduate has been CFO of voestalpine AG since 1 April 2024 and was previously a member of the Management Board of AMAG Austria Metall AG for 16 years. Mayer succeeds Robert Ottel, whose mandate ended after he left voestalpine AG. Ottel was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Vienna Stock Exchange for ten years.
