  • Share Of Investors In Financial Instrument Trade On GPW In 2019

    • Individual investors generated 12 percent of trade in equities on the GPW Main Market in 2019 (stable year on year). Foreign investors contributed 63 percent of trade (+4 pps. YoY) and institutional investors 25 percent (-4 pps. YoY).
    • On NewConnect, individual investors remained in the lead: their share in trade increased by 3 pps. to 86 percent. The share of institutional investors dropped to 11 percent (-3 pps. YoY). The share of foreign investors at 3 percent remained stable year on year.
    • Individual investors remained in the lead on the futures market in 2019 with a share of 47 percent of trade (-1 pps. YoY). The share of institutional investors remained stable at 35 percent and the share of foreign investors increased by 1 pps. year on year to 18 percent.

    Shanghai International Energy Exchange, the subsidiary of Shanghai Futures Exchange has released its Circular on the Last Trading Day and Delivery Dates for SC2101 and NR2002 on March 12, 2020 as follows:

    1. The last trading day for SC2101 will be December 24, 2020, and the delivery dates will be December 25 and from December 28 to December 31, 2020.
    2. The last trading day for NR2102 will be February 5, 2021, and the delivery dates will be February 8, February 9, February 10, February 18, and February 19, 2021.

  • Thai Stock Exchange Launches Relief Package For Its Stakeholders To Battle With COVID-19 Outbreak

    The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Group unveils aid measures, aiming to assist listed companies, securities companies, asset management companies, and custodians to cope with the business impact of COVID-19. The measures are to lower fee, covering annual registrar fee for members of Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. (TSD); annual fee for listed companies, limited to firms joining quarterly investor meetings, or Opportunity Day; membership fee for securities companies and  depository fee, representing THB 500 million value of aid in total.

  • Shenzhen Stock Exchange: First Batch Of Credit Protection Contract Business For Corporate Bonds For Epidemic Prevention And Control Successfully Launched

    On March 11, the first batch of two credit protection contract businesses for corporate bonds for epidemic prevention and control were successfully launched on SZSE. They are the credit protection contract introduced by Soochow Securities and the private corporate bonds financing support instrument jointly rolled out by CITIC Securities and China Securities Finance Corporation Limited (“CSF”). Both are having the corporate bonds for epidemic prevention and control as underlying assets. The combination of the two instruments has further broadened the financing channels of the capital market to support epidemic prevention and control and work and production resumption, and has reduced related financing cost of enterprises.
