UK Financial Conduct Authority: First-Tier Tribunal Upholds Decision To Fine Hall And Hanley Limited For Data Breaches And Unauthorised Copying Of Client Signatures

The First-tier Tribunal (the Tribunal) has upheld a fine of £91,000 imposed on Hall and Hanley Limited (H&H) by the Claims Management Regulator (CMR), the former regulator for claims management companies (CMCs). The hearing for the Tribunal was conducted by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) which has taken over the functions of the CMR.

genesis Raises $1.8m To Fuel Growth From Illuminate Financial Management And Tribeca Early Stage Partners

genesis, the international capital markets software firm today announced the closing of its second capital raise, securing $1.8m of investment in a round that was led by Illuminate Financial Management, a U.K. based capital markets venture capital firm and Tribeca Early Stage Partners, a New York venture group. genesis has now raised $5m since its first external capital injection in November 2018.

Results Of Semi-Annual SET Index Series Review For First Half Of 2020

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) announces the results of the semi-annual index review for SET50, SET100, sSET, SETCLMV, SETHD SETTHSI and SETWB indices for the period of first half of 2020 (January 1 - June 30) as follows:
- SET50: One security: VGI pcl (VGI) will be added as index constituent.
- SET100: Five securities consisting of BG Container Glass pcl (BGC), STP&I pcl (STPI), Thonburi Healthcare Group pcl (THG), TQM Corporation pcl (TQM) and VGI pcl (VGI) will be added as index constituents.
- sSET: 15 securities consisting of Amanah Leasing pcl (AMANAH), Ananda Development pcl (ANAN), Bangkok Airways pcl (BA), Beauty Community pcl (BEAUTY), Diamond Building Products pcl (DRT), Eastern Printing pcl (EPCO), Lalin Property pcl (LALIN), The Platinum Group pcl (PLAT), Ratchaphruek Hospital pcl (RPH), Sabina pcl (SABINA), Samart Telecoms pcl (SAMTEL), Sansiri pcl (SIRI), Sahamitr Pressure Container pcl (SMPC), Thai Agro Energy pcl (TAE) and Zen Corporation Group (ZEN) will be added as index constituents.

UK Financial Conduct Authority: Announcement From John Swift QC Inviting Submissions From Interested Parties

The independent ‘lessons learned’ review into the Financial Services Authority (‘FSA’)/Financial Conduct Authority (‘FCA’)'s supervisory intervention on Interest Rate Hedging Products is currently underway. The Review will provide an assessment of the former FSA and now FCA's actions relating to their Interest Rate Hedging Product Redress Scheme and set out the lessons that should be learned from the Review.

I have been working with Benoît now for a decade—starting at our respective Treasuries where we both were drafted as financial firefighters, migrating to our respective central banks to help with stabilization, recovery, and normalization, and most recently preparing for the challenges that lie ahead. Over the course of that decade, I have developed deep admiration for Benoît's keen insights and outstanding judgment.
