Please note that the Derivatives Market evening trading session will begin five minutes later, i.e. at 7:05 pm MSK, on 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25 June 2020, as these are the last trading days for options contracts (in accordance with clause 7.2 of the Rules of organized trading for the Moscow Exchange Derivatives Market).

EEX Enters Japanese Power Market With Successful Launch Of Clearing Services - First Trade Registered, Paving The Way For A Cleared Long Term Market For Japanese Power

The European Energy Exchange (EEX) today successfully launched its new clearing offering for Japanese Power Futures, marking an important milestone for EEX’s Power Derivatives portfolio and the Asian buisness of EEX Group as a whole. The first trade totalled a volume of 11,040 MWh and was concluded by the power utility companies, Tohoku EPCO Energy Trading Co.,Inc. and ENGIE Global Markets with brokering services provided by the Japanese commodity brokerage firm, enechain Corporation.

Over 25 businesses in the Cardiff and Newport area have joined the #helptheheroesdiff campaign, it has been announced today. Together, the businesses are helping provide weekly food parcels to over 600 staff across seven NHS hospitals* around the Cardiff, Vale and Newport area throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

The international central securities depositories (ICSDs) Clearstream Banking S.A. and Euroclear Bank SA/NV have appointed China Construction Bank (Asia) Corporation Limited (CCB (Asia)) as common depository, safekeeper and service provider for their international debt securities, also known as Eurobonds.

Europex Response To Commission Consultation On The Review Of The MiFID II/MiFIR Regulatory Framework

Europex fully supports the underlying policy objectives of MiFID II / MiFIR and the G-20 Pittsburgh commitments to “improve the functioning and transparency of financial and commodity markets and address excessive commodity price volatility”. However, more than two years after the MiFID II / MiFIR framework started to apply, we believe that these objectives have not yet fully materialised as far as commodity derivatives markets are concerned, notwithstanding the heavy burden already imposed on the industry.

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s securities markets regulator, notes the non-renewal of the emergency restrictions on short selling and similar transactions by the following national competent authorities (NCAs): Finanzmarktaufsicht (FMA) of Austria; Financial Securities and Markets Authority (FSMA) of Belgium; Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) of France; Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) of Greece; and Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) of Spain.
