MBIE Announcement On New Zealand Financial Markets Authority Levies

ASIC Consults On Remaking Class Order On Notification Requirements For Unlicensed Carried Over Instrument Lenders And Clarification Of Credit Disclosure Obligations

Good Morning. Thank you Barry [Barbash] and Paul [Roye] for the kind introduction and thank you and PLI for inviting me to speak again with you. I looked back at my remarks the last time I was with you. Two years ago, the focus of our discussion primarily centered on SEC rulemaking regarding Standards of Conduct for Financial Professionals and Liquidity Risk Management. This year, we have many more items on the agenda, and COVID-19 has reshaped our lives, tested our markets and reordered – but not reduced – our priorities.

SEC Announces Creation Of The Event And Emerging Risk Examination Team In The Office Of Compliance Inspections And Examinations And The Appointment Of Adam D. Storch As Associate Director

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the creation of the Event and Emerging Risks Examination Team (EERT) in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE). The EERT will proactively engage with financial firms about emerging threats and current market events and quickly mobilize to provide expertise and resources to the SEC's regional offices when critical matters arise.

ESMA Submits Opinion To European Parliament On 2018 Discharge Process

ESMA submitted an Opinion on the European Parliament’s (EP) observations made in the 2018 discharge process. The Opinion sheds light on concrete actions taken by ESMA, including in relation to supervisory fees for credit ratings agencies and trade repositories, establishing the Proportionality Committee, on investigating dividend arbitrage trading schemes.
