IMF Executive Board Approves New Central Bank Transparency Code

On July 2nd, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved the new IMF Central Bank Transparency Code (CBT). The development of the CBT follows on the Board’s direction in April 2019 to update the 1999 Monetary and Financial Policies Transparency Code, and bring it in line with the recommendations of the 2017 Joint Review of the Standards and Codes Initiative, indicating the need for risk-based assessments to support policy effectiveness and address macroeconomic risks.

EDM Council Launches Cloud Data Management Work Group To Develop Best Practice Framework To Accelerate Cloud Adoption

EDM Council, the leading trade association for data management, has launched the Cloud Data Management Capabilities (CDMC) Best Practices Work Group. This new group includes participation from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, as well as over 20 leading financial industry firms. The Work Group has been formed to develop an open source CDMC Best Practice Framework to accelerate Cloud adoption and automate the associated controls. The EDM Council Work Group is being co-chaired by Morgan Stanley and Refinitiv, with project management provided by Capco.

The total value of transactions during the month in review reached € 5,84 million, with an average of €0,28 million per trading session. The Government Bonds sector contributed 68,32% to the total value traded which was the highest among all other sectors. Investors primarily focused their interest on the shares of “Bank of Cyprus Holdings Plc” and also on shares of “Atlantic Insurance Company Public Ltd” with 9,59% and 7,11% of the total value respectively.

ACER Consults On The Capacity Calculation Methodology For The Long-Term Timeframe In The Baltic Region

The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) launches today a public consultation on the capacity calculation methodology for the long-term timeframe among Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden (the Baltic capacity calculation region) according to the EU Regulation on Forward Capacity Allocation. All interested parties are invited to submit their comments by 24 August 2020.
