Etrading Software Increases The Breadth Of Its Managed Service Offerings - Expanding Its Operations In Europe And Asia With Additional Hires

Etrading Software, the independent, global provider of technology-led solutions designed for financial institutions and industry initiatives, has today announced three new hires in its London office, as well as a new operational layer in Asia. In Europe, Etrading Software has strengthened its outsourced services delivery capability through the hiring of James Haskell as Business Operations Officer, David Lane as Technical Operations Officer and the appointment of Will Palmer as Chief Information Security Officer. These senior appointments are tasked with overseeing the day to day operations of ETS’ existing and new managed services offerings.

The Derivatives Service Bureau Extends Global Participation In Technology Forum

The Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB), founded by the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) to facilitate the allocation and maintenance of International Securities Identification Numbers (ISINs), Classification of Financial Instrument codes (CFIs) and Financial Instrument Short Names (FISNs), for OTC derivatives, has today announced an extension of global participation in its technology forum, the Technology Advisory Committee (TAC). The DSB is inviting applicants to participate in the next term of the TAC which starts in October 2020, with an application deadline of Friday, 4th September.

Shanghai Stock Exchange Held Listing Ceremony For One Year Anniversary Of STAR Market

On July 22, 2020, the first anniversary of the science and technology innovation board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE STAR Market), a ceremony was held on the trading floor of the SSE to celebrate at the same time the IPO of 7 companies on the STAR Market, including Wuxi Delinhai Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., Earth-Panda Advanced Magnetic Material Co., Ltd., Sunshine Guojian Pharmaceutical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Genew Technologies Co., Ltd., Wuxi Chipown Micro-electronics limited, Qi An Xin Technology Group Inc. and Leaguer (Shenzhen) Microelectronics Corp. So far, there have been 140 companies listed on the SSE STAR Market, with a total market value of more than RMB2.79 trillion and a total of RMB217.9 billion in capital raised.

Taiwan Futures Exchange Wrapped Up Its Strongest Half Year

In the first half of 2020, the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) recorded an all-time high half-year volume of 173.7 million contracts with a rise of 36% year-over-year (YoY), reaching a record average daily volume (ADV) of 1.5 million contracts. Amidst market volatility, this was largely driven by the popularity of its core products, including the world’s sixth most traded equity index option in the period ranked by the Futures Industry Association – TAIEX Options (TXO), of which increased 22.7% YoY to 879,598 contracts, a historical-high ADV. Two other flagships, TAIEX Futures (TX) and Mini-TAIEX Futures (MTX), grew 40.7% to 215,076 contracts and 102.9% to 271,595 contracts in ADVs YoY, respectively.
