There have been news reports that SBI will be investing in Jimoto Holdings based in Sendai and Yamagata. While I am very aware that such decisions are up to the financial institutions involved, I would like to ask your views on this as far as you can comment, and I would be grateful if you could also give us your assessment of recent moves by regional banks to seek out loose alliances such as the collaborative use of systems instead of merging with or acquiring other banks.

IMF Executive Board Concludes First Review Under Jordan’s Extended Fund Facility Arrangement And Rephases Access To Address The Impact Of COVID-19

- The IMF Executive Board supports Jordan’s efforts to save lives and livelihoods in the wake of the COVID-19 shock, and has enhanced the IMF-supported program’s flexibility to accommodate COVID-related and social protection spending.
- The authorities remain committed to the medium-term objectives of their economic program: preserving macroeconomic stability, creating job-rich and inclusive growth, and rebuilding policy buffers, including through gradual and growth-friendly fiscal consolidation.
- The IMF encourages donors to step up their support, preferably in the form of grants, to help Jordan cope with the impact of the pandemic on the Jordanian people and some 1.3 million Syrian refugees.

Shenzhen Stock Exchange Takes Practical Measures To Support Hubei Province In Recovery And High-Quality Development

With the strong support of Hubei Provincial Party Committee and Hubei Provincial People’s Government, Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) held the “2020 Hubei Capital Market Service Week” from December 7 to 11, together with Hubei Provincial Local Financial Supervision Administration, China Securities Regulatory Commission (the CSRC) Hubei Bureau and Xiangyang Municipal People’s Government. The activity is a specific move of SZSE to implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on supporting the economic and social development of Hubei Province and to bring in financial resources to help Hubei recover from the pandemic. It also is a practice of various parties to put into practice the Opinions of the State Council for Further Improving the Quality of Listed Companies in a bid to drive the high-level economic development of Hubei Province by improving the quality and efficiency of listed companies. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President & CEO of SZSE Sha Yan and over 700 representatives from government agencies, enterprises and financial institutions attended the activity.
