EEX Sets New H1 Volume Record In Dry Freight

The European Energy Exchange (EEX) has set a new all time record in Dry Freight, achieving a 42% uplift in volume for the first half of 2021. In the period January to June 2021, a total volume of 598,300 lots were traded (H1 2020: 422,244 lots) which is the highest volume ever recorded in a 6 month period, since launching the business in 2016.

MOEX Launches The RTS Index Futures Contract (Mini)

On 27 July 2021 MOEX will start trading in RTS Index futures contract (mini) with a contract's volume ten times less than that of RTS Index futures contract. The contract will be traded under RTSM code.

Equilibrium real interest rates have declined significantly over recent decades. As a consequence, the zero lower bound (ZLB) on policy rates has become a more binding constraint for conventional monetary policy. This paper analyses the implications of the ZLB under low equilibrium interest rates for macroeconomic and public debt stability. It zooms in on the role of quantitative easing (QE) as a monetary policy instrument and on the interaction between fiscal rules and monetary policy in a low interest rate world.

EBA Found That Extensive Use Of Central Bank Facilities Drove Asset Encumbrance Ratios Up In 2020
