ISDA derivatiViews: First Steps To Crypto Derivatives Standards

Crypto assets have grown at a ferocious pace in recent years, but banks and institutional investors have only played a bit part in that growth. That’s now starting to change, with financial institutions showing more interest in crypto and derivatives linked to these assets. Further growth is all but certain, but the challenge will be to guarantee the nascent market for digital asset derivatives is built on firm foundations. This should be based on standards that respect the unique aspects of this asset class and can be applied in a fully digital format – an issue that ISDA is uniquely placed to tackle.

FINRA’s Board of Governors met on Sept. 23-24 and approved a proposal to establish a modest fee for individuals who choose to complete continuing education (CE) to remain qualified for up to five years following the termination of the individual’s registration.

Wakefield, a former managing director and head of fixed income trading at IFS Securities, Inc., an Atlanta-based broker-dealer, with causing millions of dollars of losses through unauthorized trading in fixed income securities, and with fraudulently obtaining approximately $820,000 in fictitious commission income.

ETFGI Reports Record Assets And Net Inflows In Active ETFs And ETPs Of US$413 Billion And US$95 Billion Respectively At The End Of August 2021

ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETFs and ETPs ecosystem, reported today record assets and net inflows in Active ETFs and ETPs listed globally of US$413 billion and US$95 billion respectively at the end of August. Actively managed ETFs and ETPs saw net inflows of US$7.00 billion during August, bringing year-to-date net inflows to US$95.21 billion. Assets invested in actively managed ETFs/ETPs finished the month up to 2.4%, from US$404 billion at the end of July to US$413 billion, according to ETFGI's August 2021 Active ETF and ETP industry landscape insights report, the monthly report which is part of an annual paid-for research subscription service.
