Non-Jordanian Ownership In Companies Listed On The Amman Stock Exchange Reached 48.3%, Of Which 37.4% For Institutional Investors

Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) revealed that the value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors at the ASE in February 2022 was JD9.2 million, representing 7.8% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD11.4 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments in February 2022 showed a negative value of JD2.2 million, whereas the net of non-Jordanian investments showed a negative value of JD2.4 million during the same month of 2021.

Further to the announcement of Saudi Exchange, Muqassa & Edaa regarding the approval of the rules and procedures of post trade project and the amendments of the glossary of defined terms used in the exchange rules that was published on January 18, 2022, Saudi Exchange, Muqassa and Edaa announce the CMA’s Board resolution to amend the starting date of the mentioned rules and procedures and amend the cancelling date of the rules and procedures specified in paragraph (second) of the mentioned announcement to be staring from April 3rd 2022 instead of March 6th 2022, to coincide with the launch of a bundle of enhancements to develop the post trade infrastructure of the Saudi capital market.
