Open Interest In CME Milk Futures Soars Past 10,000 Mark

For eight consecutive sessions, open interest in Class III milk futures on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) has continued to set new records, beginning with 9,741 positions on Feb. 9, and reaching 10,669 on Feb. 21. In addition, CME’s Class IV milk futures set open interest records for the past three consecutive sessions, beginning with 1,985 positions on Feb. 16, and reaching 2,061 on Feb. 21.

HKEx Order Routing System And Online Trading Service To Commence Operation Tomorrow

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will introduce its Order Routing System (ORS) infrastructure and Online Trading Service tomorrow (Friday, 23 February). ORS is part of AMS/3, the Third Generation Automatic Order Matching and Execution System.

CME GLOBEX®2 Record Volume Surpasses 300,000 - E-mini S&P 500, E-mini Nasdaq-100 Futures Set Volume Records

Trading volume on GLOBEX®2, the electronic trading system of Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME), rose to a record 306,417 contracts yesterday, setting its second record in two weeks. On Feb. 14, a record 297,100 contracts were traded on the system.

CBOT To Provide Access To a/c/e Trading Platform In Hong Kong

After receiving the necessary regulatory approval, the Chicago Board of Trade announced today that it is now permitted by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) to provide and facilitate electronic access from Hong Kong to all CBOT® products via the a/c/e electronic trading platform, jointly developed by CBOT® and Eurex.

Tokyo Stock Exchange Announces Launch Date Of Basis And Block Trading for JGB

The Tokyo Stock Exchange has decided to introduce Basis and Block Trading for JGB futures on April 9, 2001 in order to satisfy the diversifying needs of market users, and to enhance the convenience of JGB Futures as a hedging tool. Basis trading will allow the execution of cash JGB and JGB futures trades simultaneously; and block trading is expected to contribute to the smoother execution of large cross-transactions.

Standard & Poor's - Index Change To TSE 300 Capped Index.

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces that effective after the close of business on Wednesday, February 21, 2001, the following change will take place in the TSE 300 Capped Index. The weight of Nortel Networks Corporation (TSE: NT) will increase by approximately 5.22% in the TSE 300 Capped Index. The relative weight change reflects an adjustment to the float shares pursuant to TSE 300 Capped Index methodology.
